Affiliate Disclosure
The honest version: I make money through affiliate links — and you deserve to know exactly how that works.
Transparency isn't a marketing line here — it's the entire point. Below is exactly how I get paid, what that does (and doesn't) influence, and where I have to declare a conflict.
How I'm compensated
Some links on this site are affiliate links. When you click through and make a purchase, I may receive a small commission from the merchant. This costs you nothing extra — the brand pays me a referral fee out of their own margin.
What it doesn't change
- I never write a positive review in exchange for compensation.
- I never promise a brand a specific rating before I've tested the product.
- I write 2/5 reviews and link to them too. The commission rate is the same on a 5-star and a 1-star review (and 1-star reviews convert less anyway).
- I don't accept free product in exchange for guaranteed coverage. Free samples are disclosed in the review itself.
Reviews of brands operated by my parent company
A handful of brands reviewed on this site — including Cosara and Meo Nutrition — are operated by Interactive Ecommerce LLC, the same company that operates this site.
Reviews of these brands are clearly marked, and reader-submitted reviews are manually moderated before publication. I disclose this conflict of interest upfront because hiding it would be worse than the conflict itself.
FTC compliance
This disclosure satisfies the U.S. Federal Trade Commission's 16 CFR Part 255 guidance on endorsements and testimonials, as well as the FTC Rule on Use of Consumer Reviews and Testimonials (effective October 2024). If you spot anything on this site that you think violates those rules, please email me and I'll fix it.
